Boss of recruiter SThree bows out after a long run

The boss of SThree, Russell Clements, is to retire from the helm of the recruiter.

He will be replaced by an insider who has worked for the firm for more than two decades.

Clements, who is 47 and joined SThree as only its second employee in 1986, will retire next April. He will be succeeded by Gary Elden, 44, who is chief strategy officer.

Last year, Clements pocketed a pay package worth £628,000, of which £348,000 was his basic salary.The chairman Clay Brendish said: “Russell leaves SThree in excellent shape to continue its progress.”
