Dangerous game: North Korea’s missile tests are infuriating the US President
10 August 2017

After studying the Cold War, I would never have imagined anything like it could happen today. But the tension between the United States and North Korea already seems to be reaching a concerning level.

This is the result of electing Donald Trump — a hot-headed, irrational character — as President, combined with the dangerous ideology of Kim Jong-un. For most leaders, nuclear weapons are simply a threat. But in a game of brinkmanship between Trump and Kim Jong-un, who is to say either will back down before using them?

The UK must act in to reduce the tension before it is too late.
