I’ve read lots of books about how the brain can be tricked and how the things we think we see are not necessarily the things we are looking at. This is one of the best. It’s clearly written and easy to understand. Adam Adler, a psychologist, tells us about the world we know — or, rather, think we know. There’s a fascinating bit on the QWERTY typewriter keyboard, which helps you to understand how prejudice can form. Right-handed people apparently prefer words they can type with their dominant hand. Think about the implications of that.
