The Vagina: Naomi Wolf gives her only London talk

24 August 2012

Having made her name with The Beauty Myth, world-leading feminist Naomi Wolf is back in London, this time to discuss our vaginas.

Long-unloved and rarely talked about, Wolf has decided that the humble vagina needs its own biography. Men have long been accused of thinking with their genitalia, but Wolf will be explaining how vaginas apparently inform what women do too.

As part of the Intelligence Squared's lecture series, she will argue that they are integral to female identity and creativity. Using cutting-edge science and and her knowledge of cultural history, she has constructed an explanation of "the mind-vagina connection".

However, the talk is not just aimed at women. Wolf will also aim to show how men can learn that ever elusive thing - 'what women want'.

Take your boyfriend, he'll be terrified.

Naomi Wolf is speaking as part of Intelligence Squared on Thursday 6th September at 7pm, at the Royal Institution, 21 Albemarle Street, W1. Tickets cost £25.00
