A Perfect Getaway is flawed but entertaining

Thriller: One of the killers makes a threatening call
10 April 2012

Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn play a couple on a honeymoon that goes pear-shaped in David Twohy’s thriller.

Just when they start to enjoy themselves in Hawaii, where "nothing bad ever happens", they are faced with the news that other honeymooners at the resort have been brutally murdered.

They then meet two couples who might just be the killers. Or have we got it all wrong?

Yes, we have: Twohy ratchets up the tension by suddenly producing a back story to surprise us. There’s a lot of blood and little logic but the actors scream nicely.
