Ventura Pons' Spanish-language film is an extended conversation piece with almost no letup in the rush of subtitles. A debutante actress (Merce Pons) prepares herself for the role of Iphigeneia by interviewing three women who all benefited from the tutelage of the grande dame of the Catalan theatre who made it hers.

One is an international diva (Nuria Espert); another a telly personality (Rosa Maria Sarda); the third, a highly skilled dubbing artist (Anna Lizaran). Constructed in three acts, inside each woman's luxury home, the best moments exhibit the bitchy tantrums seething beneath the threesome's composed veneers. Ultimately, it subscribes to the sentimental myth of the Theatre, intense and capitalised, and the sacrifices demanded from its high priestesses. Resident Spanish expats would seem to be the target audience here.
