Swedish House Mafia have been announced as the first headliners of Creamfields festival 2019.
The group, made up of DJs Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, will close the festival on Sunday August 25.
Back in October Swedish House Mafia announced plans to reunite for a show in Stockholm next year. The new headline show at Creamfield marks their first UK date since first parting ways in 2012.
Speaking about their return to the UK, the trio said: “The UK truly is our second home... whether it be at our very first Creamfields or our last Milton Keynes Bowl, we want to bring it back to the festival.”
The group emerged as one of the biggest house acts on the planet after first forming in 2008. They’re known for the hits Don’t You Worry Child, Save the World, Miami 2 Ibiza and One (Your Name).
Creamfields takes place in Daresbury, Cheshire, from Thursday August 22 to Sunday August 25. More acts will be announced for the festival over the coming weeks.
