Troublemaker Stephen Bear broke down in tears after his girlfriend entered the Celebrity Big Brother house to confront him.

The Ex on the Beach regular – who struck up a relationship with axed house mate Chloe Khan – came face-to-face with Lexie Gregg as part of a task.

On entering the famous reality TV home, Gregg said: “I was Stephen’s girlfriend. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do to walk through that door.

“But I had to come in and look you in the eyes."

His fellow housemates were left shocked by the surprise encounter and Katie Waissel said she was unable to watch.

In an exclusive clip on last night's spin off show Bit On The Side, viewers watched as Bear was later overcome with emotion and broke down in the Diary Room.

When asked by Big Brother how he is doing he said, “I’m fine”, before shedding a tear.

Bear was dating Greg before he appeared on the show, but just days in he told his fellow housemates that he “needs to be single”.

Are these the cringiest moments from Celebrity Big Brother 2016 so far?

He said: “I thought I would be with [Lexie] forever, but after thinking in here, she’s not the one.”

The reality TV star went on to strike up a relationship with Khan who danced topless on a pole and re-enacted a webcam audition for him. The pair were also shown taking showers together and heard getting close in the toilet.

Bear will face the public vote on Friday night as he goes up against James Whale, Lewis Bloor, Ricky Norwood and Samantha Fox.

Celebrity Big Brother is on Channel 5 tonight at 9pm.
