Curb Your Enthusiasm could be making a return to screens for a ninth season, five years after it went on ‘hiatus’.
According to former cast member JB Smoove, creator and star Larry David is ‘thinking about’ shooting new episodes of the award-winning show.
In an interview on The Rich Eisen Show, the comedian and actor revealed that David had brought up the possibility of a return during a recent phone conversation.
Speaking to the host, he said: “I call Larry every two weeks and I check on him because he’s old, he's a busy man, so I always check on older people.
“I just talk about regular stuff with him, it's not always Curb stuff. But this time, aha! He brings up Curb Your Enthusiasm; I don't ever bring it up.”
Smoove continued: “He starts off with his little, 'Ehhhhh, you know, I'm thinking about coming back.’
“But see, that's great because he has not said no, which puts us in a great position for possibilities ... that means it's still going.”

He added: “If Larry does not say no, there's a possibility he may say yes. And then he went extra. He said, 'If I do come back, would you be available?'
“I said, 'You know something Larry, I'll be available. Just call me, give me early notice, and I'll be there.'
“I'll move anything to the side for Curb Your Enthusiasm, which would be a fabulous thing to do. Season nine would be fabulous.”
The last series of Curb aired back in 2011, having run since the first HBO Special back in 1999.
When he was asked about returning back in 2013, David said: “I have not [decided]. I don't know. I really don't know. I couldn't say. Ask me in six months.”
