Works as an account executive for a vibesy advertising Shoreditch start-up where the perks include wearing shorts to work on weekdays beginning with T. Yes, his balls still work. Gavla, delighted about Spurs’s success in Europe, commutes the last mile to his office by scooter. By coincidence, his new deskmate is also named Owain Hughes. And before you ask, he doesn’t either.
Stacey Shipman
Began committing life advice by her elderly Barry neighbour Doris to a self-help book in 2011. “Don’t go selling the whole farm on the first date” was an international bestseller. Now has a sex advice segment on This Morning. Is WhatsApp mates with Holly Willoughby.
Mick Shipman
Enjoying a renaissance as an “all ages” menswear model with slots in the Boden catalogue and Wellman Tube ads after being scouted whilst browsing cufflinks at T M Lewin. Still unparalleled at “I Spy” on long journeys with his wife.
Pam Shipman
Joined Instagram to stay in touch with Gavin, who doesn’t call enough (her account is @camillaluvsherlittleprince). Now an influencer with 1.2 million followers. Specialises in #inspo quotes superimposed over a Tudor crown, such as “Keep Calm but not being funny you need to get a life.” Still loves the drama (and her Mick).
Neil “Smithy” Smith
Became a vegan in 2016 and has never looked back (apart from the odd Pammy’s full English). Runs a Joe Wicks-style YouTube channel, with tips on DIY. Twitter bio reads: vegan, Hammer, proud dad. Bought a lump of the six-yard box from Upton Park on eBay. Spent 24 hours driving back and forth over the Severn Bridge when it went toll-free.
Nessa Jenkins
Went travelling with Baby Neil, Smithy, John Prescott, Nigel Havers and several members of Goldie Lookin Chain. Became a judge on The Voice in 2017 after saving Ricky Wilson from a bar fight in Bogota. Launched a celebrity clothing line with Boohoo a year later.
Bryn West
After forging new relationships on his beloved “world wide Wales”, Uncle Bryn launched dating app plentyoffishingtrips. It’s a global sensation. He has hosted a Ted Talk.
