Carol Vorderman has stoked up rumours that she’s heading into I’m A Celebrity with a comment at the Pride of Britain awards.

The former Countdown presenter has been rumoured for the show, and made a reference to Australia at the ceremony.

Presenting an award, Vorderman said: "This year's winners have travelled the length and breadth of the UK to here tonight but for one of them the journey took 24 hours, three aeroplanes and covered nearly 800 miles.

"It takes less time to get to Australia apparently".

Some have taken her comment as a suggestion that she’ll be heading into the jungle with Ant and Dec when I’m A Celeb returns on Sunday, November 13.

Nigel Farage has also been connected with the series. He has reportedly been offered £750,000 to take part, but previously denied that he would enter the show. However, he did recently admit to having ‘conversations’ for reality TV series.

It is thought that Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews and Red Dwarf star Craig Charles could re-enter the jungle after both were forced to leave early in 2015 and 2014 respectively.

Matthews left after just three days when it emerged that he had been using steroids, while Charles made an early exit after learning of his brother’s death.
