Love Island latest: Amy claims Curtis ‘NEVER liked her’ in furious showdown and Lucie STILL has feelings for Tommy

The villa's golden couple are being tested to the limit

Love Island’s Amy Hart claims that Curtis Pritchard sees their relationship as a “placeholder” and a “back-up plan” as she confronts him over his recent behaviour.

Last night’s show saw the professional dancer tell his “half-girlfriend” that there was “something missing” from their relationship and admitting that he is attracted to new islander Jourdan Raine.

After she was left in tears following Curtis’ confession, tonight’s episode sees Amy channel her anger to confront her fellow islander over his behaviour, admitting that she believes he “never actually liked her.”

“I don’t think you ever actually liked me at all,” she tells him in a last ditch attempt to get some answers.

“I feel like I was an acceptable placeholder until you found someone better,” she adds. “You did but then [Jourdan] coupled up with Danny so you came back to your back-up plan.

“I don’t think you actually fancy me. You’re having meaningful snogs with other girls when I’m not here. How is that OK?

She then suggests that while for her, “absence made the heart grow stronger, for him “it was out of sight, out of mind.”

While Curtis attempts to defend himself by claiming that he “can see a future” with her, it seems like he has a lot more grovelling to do if he wants to win back Amy’s affection.

Elsewhere in the villa, Lucie Donlan confesses that she is still harbouring feelings for Tommy Fury, despite having recoupled with new boy George Rains.

“I do want to get to know George but you can’t really change how you feel,” she tells the boxer, adding: “It’s still going to be there. I don’t want you to feel awkward and feel like you can’t talk to me.”

Tommy, who is happily coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague, says that he wants their “friendship” to continue “regardless of what has happened.”

“I just feel stupid because at the start I don’t know why I didn’t choose you,” she replies.

Molly-Mae feels as if she has been shut of the conversation and wants Lucie to be more “open” and “honest” about her feelings for Tommy.

“I don’t mind that she fancies him,” she says. “I can’t get annoyed for someone fancying him. There are no rules about that but it’s how you go about it. Open up to me and be honest about it.”

Pondering the situation in the Hideaway, she adds: “It’s very strange that I was sat with Lucie in Casa Amor and to find out she was sat there thinking about Tommy. It doesn’t worry me but obviously it bothers me.”

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 tonight.
