RuPaul’s Drag Race, truTV: Coco Montrese takes aim at Alyssa Edwards in reading week – exclusive clip

The library is open as the Season 5 queens relish the chance to swipe at each other

It’s the moment that Drag Race fans await every season: yes, the library is OPEN and reading week is in session.

This week’s mini-challenge sees the Season 5 queens tasked with ‘reading’ each other – the opportunity to air those barbed jokes that have no doubt been building up inside them since they all met in week one.

With so much drama in the series – the break-up of Rolaskatox and the rivalry between Coco Montrese and Alyssa Edwards – there were bound to be some shocking moments.

Of course, once putting on the reading glasses, Coco couldn’t resist a pop at her nemesis: “Alyssa Edwards – never mind…”

Meanwhile, Detox re-named Roxxxy Andrews as ‘Boxxxy Man-drews’ and made a Sharon Needles joke about Alaska, and Jinkx Monsoon joked about Detox’s “chicken mask” face.

With the queens then taking on the RuPaul Roast in the main challenge, having to make jokes about Queen Ru herself and the celebrity judges, who will be best in class, and who will flunk out? Tune in to the episode to find out.

Remember everyone: reading is fundamental!
