Wellies and waterproofs may be surplus to requirements at Glastonbury this year after forecasters said they are hopeful festival-goers will enjoy warm and mostly dry weather.
Campsites at the renowned music festival in Somerset - which is headlined this year by the Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons - open on Wednesday.
Those lucky enough to hold tickets for the hotly-anticipated event, which lasts until Sunday, are expected to rock out without suffering the notoriously muddy conditions of other years.
Chris Burton, a forecaster for MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said: "It doesn't look too bad through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
"There will be a fair amount of cloud but only a small chance of showers, so hopefully there will not be too much mud around.
"In terms of temperatures, they should be around 19C to 20C as we move towards Friday, with lows of around 8C to 9C at night on Wednesday and 12C to 13C on the other days.
"At the weekend there is a risk of one or two showers on both Saturday and Sunday, but it doesn't look like a washout at all."
Mr Burton said that temperatures at the weekend should be a little bit warmer at around 21C to 22C.
Around 135,000 music fans will flood through the gates of the festival when the campsites open at the 900-acre site.
The last Glastonbury Festival was in 2011, with a year's break for the Olympics and to allow the land to recover.
Last time around, proceedings got off to a muddy start but turned hot on the last day as Britain baked in a heatwave.
