Italian Film feast: The Rooftop Film Club at Queen of Hoxton
5 April 2012

Lauren Laverne is curating a programme of iconic Italian inspired films to be shown at London's Queen of Hoxton.

The event, which will take place between August 11 and 14, is part of Italian liqueur brand Disaronno's three month sponsorship of the Rooftop Film Club.

The venue will be transformed into a stylish contemporary terrace for the opening night of the Film Series where Disaronno cocktails and canapés will be served and modern classic, Romeo and Juliet, will be introduced by Laverne.

Other films on the bill include romantic Audrey Hepburn comedy Roman Holiday on Friday, award winning masterpiece Life is Beautiful on Saturday, finishing with landmark Italian drama Bicycle Thieves on Sunday.

Laverne said: "A great film for me is one that takes you into another world and there's nothing more visually exciting than Italian inspired cinema."
