The Feeling to headline charity event at Proud Cabaret

Charitable: The Feeling will play at Proud Cabaret
5 April 2012

On Tuesday July 26 the Proud Group is set to host a Supper Club alongside YOUYOU Mentoring, in aid of aspiring 17 to 21 year olds looking to gain skills within creative industries.

200 lucky guests will have the opportunity to see indie band The Feeling with special guests Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Guy Chambers performing alongside SCHMIDT for this one off intimate gig.

The Supper Club special will be hosted by Proud Group CEO Alex Proud. No stranger to charity, Alex has supported a number of charities throughout his career, and has maintained a special affiliation with the likes of Mencap and War Child.

As CEO to a group that has supported a number of creative outlets, including photography, live music, fine dining and cabaret, Alex has further offered his patronage to the mentoring scheme.

"An opportunity to see artists like The Feeling and Sophie Ellis Bextor play in an intimate and unique venue like Proud Cabaret comes only once in a lifetime" said Alex Proud, Patron of YOUYOU Mentoring.

Q Editor-in-Chief Paul Rees, is but one of the names volunteering their time as a mentor for the project. Renowned music photographers Scarlet Page and Andy Fallon have also attached their names to the project and the magazine's involvement goes hand in hand with YOUYOU's partnership with the Q Awards.

The Feeling will be taking to Proud Cabaret's stage for a live set of infectious pop just days following the release of new album 'Together We Were Made.'

The Feeling's Dan Gillespie-Sells said: "We're very excited to be involved in the charity gig and to be supporting the fantastic work of YOUYOU.

"We're also looking forward to performing a couple of new songs on the night too."

Having recently hosted a one-off benefit concert at Proud Camden in support of her friend's son, Sophie Ellis-Bextor will also be performing as The Feeling's special guest.

Legendary hit maker, and song writer behind Britain's biggest hits, including Robbie William's 'Angels', Guy Chambers has also attached himself to the event, and will be taking to the stage for a set of beautiful jazz stylings alongside vocalist SCHMIDT.

The charity event will include a drinks reception, and luxury 3-course Supper Club meal created by Michelin-trained chef Finlay Logan. An auction of donated prints by various names in music, film and fashion photography will also be held alongside a breathtaking burlesque show.
