Watch London’s immigrants tell their stories in Battersea Arts Centre project trailer

'I was left on an entrance way to a building when I was three years old'
Amy Ashenden5 November 2016

A new project at the Battersea Arts Centre tells the personal true stories of people have migrated to London from abroad.

London Stories: Made By Migrants will explore narratives of immigration and identity in workshops and talks given by people who have found their home in the capital.

The 90-minute evening sessions at the Battersea Arts Centre will include stories ‘told by the people who lived them, from moving for work or love to fleeing war and persecution’.

In revealing these experiences, the project aims to bring together London communities, as ‘we rarely hear about the extraordinary lives that lie behind the faces in the crowd’.
