The Old Ship review: A historic Young’s pub on the banks of the Thames

Ship shape: Hammersmith pub The Old Ship
Harry Fletcher10 December 2017

This historic Young’s pub has been providing a great place for Hammersmith’s punters to enjoy a drink by the river ever since 1722.

The grand old building almost resembles a Roman villa more than it does your average Hammersmith pub. The riverside terrace out the front is a great place to take in the views of the Thames, and this pub is one of the most popular stops on the annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race too.

All in all, it’s a pretty spectacular setting, and if you’re after a pint in a really memorable Hammersmith venue, the The Old Ship could well be the place for you.
