Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini to open flagship store in London

The Brussels-born chocolatier will open his first UK flagship store along the capital’s iconic Marylebone High Street on May 1.

Established in 1995 by Pierre Marcolini, the brand is famous for its exquisite creations using the finest cocoa beans and already has more than 30 boutiques across the world, including France, Monaco and Japan.

His new shop will be spread across 38 square metres and offer a bespoke chocolate counter, a macaroon carousel, a tasting area and a sweetie bar. Among the luxurious treats available to buy will be Financier biscuits made from Faro almonds, the Maison’s much-loved macaroons and Eclairs in flavours such as coconut and raspberry, mango or pineapple.

Pierre Marcolini’s latest fashion collaboration with French-Japanese label Maison Kitsuné will also be presented at the store once its doors are opened.

The limited-edition boxes, which are decorated with a Kitsuné fox, take inspiration from the Bento box and contain an assortment of chocolates or macaroons.

Designed with oak wood flooring and vibrant copper and red-raspberry varnish, the chic décor of the store ought to impress visitors just as much as the lavish treats on display.
