Drop off your food donations at Paddington station tomorrow to help feed hungry Londoners

Fresh food: The Felix Project delivers food to Londoners in need

Commuters at Paddington will be able to help hungry Londoners tomorrow by donating food through an initiative from Sainsbury’s.

It is setting up a food donation station on the concourse between 7am and 10pm, where commuters can give vegetables, fruit, tins, pasta, beans and pulses.

They are however asked not to give eggs, meat, poultry, milk or fish.

Sainsbury’s will match each item with an equivalent product, in an extension of its food donation programme.

The Felix Project, the charity partner for the Standard’s Christmas Appeal, will deliver the items to charities which feed Londoners in need.
