Politicians, industrialists and peers have lived in this fabulous Queen Anne Grade I-listed home in Westminster. Now fully restored, it’s on the market.

It was home to 18th-century prime minister Lord North, then in the 19th century to prime ministers Lord Grey and Lord Palmerston. Queen Victoria was a frequent visitor.

Moments from Buckingham Palace, the blue plaque townhouse boasts views of Big Ben, Birdcage Walk and St James’s Park.

There’s a cigar room, a huge master bedroom suite with his and hers bathrooms, a vast basement kitchen and a stately formal dining room that’s perfect for grand dinner parties.

The price tag is also somewhat grand — £19.5 million. Through Hathaways and Knight Frank.
