Tina Fey puts her money upstairs with a £6.5m Manhattan home

Comedy actress Tina Fey has paid £6.5 million for an apartment in Manhattan to expand the one she already owns downstairs, reports say.

The American star — whose latest movie, Sisters, is in cinemas now — was so keen to buy the place upstairs that she topped the £5.1 million asking price.

The flat has a private lift entrance and two dozen newly installed windows overlooking the scenic Hudson River.

The Mean Girls actress, creator of satirical sitcom 30 Rock, and her husband, the composer Jeff Richmond, are said to be keen to combine their new purchase in Upper West Side with the property they own directly below it, to create one vast duplex.
