New homes in Enfield: buyers are pushing just beyond the north circular for better value homes within 30 minutes of the City

Enfield in north London is perfect for those looking to travel both in and out of London – it's served by three overland stations, three tube stations and is close to the M25.

Buyers are pushing into areas just beyond the north and south circular roads, the boundary lines between inner and outer London.

Land is cheaper and homes can be built at prices low enough to attract people who want to be within a 30-minute commute of the City.

Enfield is one such location. It has an old village centre, green and open spaces and is served by three overland stations and three tube stations.

It is also very well-connected to the motorway network, suiting those travelling inwards and outwards. Live here and you can work anywhere north of London as well as in the city centre.

Evergreen Place is a scheme of five detached houses each with a garage and garden moments from Enfield Golf Course. Prices start at £1,295,000. More info.

Electric Quarter, at Ponders End, is a much larger development of three- and four-bedroom townhouses that takes its name from the former Edison and Swan electrical works that once occupied the site. Lovell Homes is releasing a new phase soon. More info.
