Britney bids for Planet Hollywood

12 April 2012

Britney Spears has formed an alliance with celebrity chef Marco Pierre White in a bid to revive the ailing Planet Hollywood restaurant.

He is reported to be in discussions with founder Robert Earl to buy 50 per cent of restaurant shares for an unknown sum.

Both the US pop star, 20, and White have decided to invest money into the company, and White will also advise on menus and develop new dishes. White celebrated his partnership with Spears over nachos and chicken wings at the Leicester Square branch of the international chain.

Alan Crompton-Batt, who represents the chef and Planet Hollywood, said: "I don't know if Britney is a good cook herself and I don't think she would have been telling him what to put on the menu, but they would certainly have talked about the company."
