Cherie begins Olympic work

Cherie Blair has made her debut as an ambassador for the bid to bring the 2012 Olympic Games to London.

In China with her husband on the latest leg of his Far East tour, Mrs Blair met key officials behind Beijing's successful campaign for the 2008 Games. Tony Blair said that the 2008 event would be a "fascinating experience".

Beijing is seen as a good example for London to emulate as a capital city that beat off stiff competition.
