Compass wins $400m Boeing deal

CATERING group Compass has won a 10-year deal worth up to $400m (£255m) to provide food and vending services to US aircraft maker Boeing. The group said it would provide catering services to more than 80,000 Boeing employees in Washington state, Oregon and Kansas. The contract is expected to take effect in July.

Compass already caters for a host of blue-chip firms in the US including Microsoft, Ford and Xerox and also feeds staff at the Pentagon. Its shares were up 7 3/4p at 445 3/4p by mid-morning.
