Courtney's 'bedroom baggie'

Courtney Love behaved herself in court yesterday
Metro13 April 2012

Wild rocker Courtney Love pulled a bag packed with pills from under her bed covers the night she was arrested after an alleged overdose, a court heard yesterday.

The former Hole singer then tossed the bag to officers and listed what was in it.

Officer Douglas Trerise told Beverly Hills Municipal Court that Love declared: 'It's Percocet. I don't do that any more. It's illegal.'

Love is pleading not guilty to possessing drugs without a prescription.

According to Mr Trerise, Love called police to her home in October last year after an alleged overdose. She then led them to her bedroom where she presented them with a plastic bag crammed with 30 pills.

Mr Trerise told the court: 'She said it was her baggie, it was her stash.' The court heard the bag contained pills only available on prescription.

For once Love, in a short black strapless dress, high heels and carrying a handbag, made no outbursts in the courtroom during a brief preliminary hearing, instead just whispering frantically to her attorneys.

The case was adjourned to April 30.
