Driver guilty of killing policewoman

A 21-year-old boy racer was warned he faced a long jail sentence today after being found guilty of causing the death of a newlywed policewoman in a horrific head-on road accident.

Anthony Antoniou was racing "bumper to bumper" with a friend in the lead-up to the high speed crash that killed 33-year-old Lorna Green, who died after being thrown from a motorbike on which she was a pillion passenger.

Her husband, 36-year-old fire officer Robert Green, who was riding the Suzuki motorcycle, lost bth legs in the accident in Croydon Road, Mitcham, south London, at 11pm on August 23 last year.
