Edmondson in Hell’s Kitchen for the money

Bo Wilson13 April 2012

ADRIAN EDMONDSON today admitted he was going on Hell's Kitchen for the money — and said there were too many cookery shows on television.

The comedian also laid into the former star of the ITV show, Gordon Ramsay, saying he "got cross for the sake of it".

Speaking at the launch of the new series, which starts on Monday, the Bottom star, 52, said: "I want to do it to get paid, it's a job." He added that cookery and gardening had forced out comedy on television.

He said he was looking forward to working with "respectable" head chef Marco Pierre White.
Contestants include Gary Lineker's fiancée Danielle Bux Anthea Turner and husband Grant Bovey, Ms Dynamite and ex-footballer Bruce Grobbelaar.
