'How The Other Half Live' mother guilty of fraud

A mother who starred in TV's How The Other Half Live has been convicted of benefit fraud for not declaring money given to her by the wealthy family she met on the programme.

Charlene Isaac appeared on the Channel 4 show on 20 May with her family.

From an estate in Tottenham, they were compared with the Denby family from the Lake District, who gave them £3,000 to start a new life in south London.

Magistrates ordered her to repay Haringey council £4,998 she had falsely claimed in housing benefit.
