Koo has breast tumour removed
The Duke of York's former girlfriend Koo Stark is battling cancer.
The 46-year-old actress has had operations in America to remove a lump from a breast and tumours from her lymph glands.
She is starting an intensive chemotherapy course this week.
Cancer was diagnosed several months ago when the mother of one went into hospital for a routine check-up.
Her royal romance lasted for 18 months in the early 1980s. The Duke wrote love letters to her from his posting on HMS Invincible during the Falklands War.
Buckingham Palace was said to have disapproved of the relationship as Stark had starred in a 1970s soft-porn film The Awakening Of Emily. The pair still meet occasionally for dinner and the Duke is godfather to her five-year-old daughter, Tatiana, whose father is millionaire investment banker Warren Walker.
