Owen wins Europe's top award

Liverpool's Michael Owen has scooped the European Footballer of the Year award - the first British player to win the award since Kevin Keegan in 1979.

But England team-mate David Beckham was not so lucky.

He lost out to Portugal's Luis Figo for the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
