Postal workers consider more strikes

Union leaders representing London post workers will meet this week to decide on further strike action. A walkout last week disrupted postal services across the capital and cost Royal Mail between £7 and £10 million.

The Communication Workers Union has threatened more strikes over its demand for a £4,000 payment for the additional cost of living in the capital.

It warns it will consider holding the next strike on 16 October to coincide with a 24-hour stoppage by town hall workers who are also demanding an increase in London Weighting.
