Three exit Abbey National

THREE executives are to resign at Abbey National following a management restructuring, it has emerged.

Abbey said in a statement that Ian Treacy, John King and Timothy Ingram would resign on February 28. Treacy was company secretary, Ingram was managing director of its business-to-business banking unit, while King was corporate development and human resources director.

Abbey, which has been trying to diversify for some years away from its mortgage business, said the restructuring came as it looks to focus on three 'major value centres' of retail banking, wholesale banking and wealth management.
