Two pensioners die in crash with schoolbus

Two pensioners died and 17 children needed hospital treatment after a horrific collision between a school coach and a car.

The pupils were on their way home from King Edward VI Grammar School in Louth when the collision happened on the A16 in nearby Ludborough, Lincolnshire, yesterday.

An 85-year-old man and 76-year-old woman, travelling in a Volvo, were pronounced dead at the scene. The children were taken off the coach and 17 were treated for minor injuries.
