UK families discuss Sept 11 compensation

Families of British victims of the September 11 attacks are today due to meet a senior US lawyer in London to discuss how much compensation they are to receive.

Kenneth Feinburg, an attorney with the US justice department, flew in for a private meeting with families of the 67 Britons killed in the 2001 atrocities.

Mr Feinburg heads the compensation fund set up by the American government. So far the average payout in the United States has been £1.1 million.
