Spider-Man star Tom Holland performed true superhero duties yesterday. The actor was in New York City promoting his new film Spider-Man: Far From Home when he stepped in to protect a young girl from being pummelled by over-excited fans. The incident was captured on video.

The girl was being pushed up against barriers as the fans sought autographs from the star. As her anxiety heightened, the actor yelled at the nearby fans. “I’m literally going to throw your s**t on the ground if you keep pushing her.”

The girl then said, “Guys, I’m going to have a panic attack,” as Holland replied, “It’s okay, I got you, I got you.”

Next he yelled, “Can you back up?!” in defense of the young girl.

The girl took to Twitter to document the incident. “This was absolutely INSANE and should NEVER happen.... my neck was literally against the barricade with 30 grown men behind me pushing.... ridiculous how people act like you’re not only endangering fans safety but Tom's as well."

“He calmed me down cause I was legitimately shaking and risked it all for me so I’m happy asf" she added.

“By risked it all I meant he literally reached through the crowd as the barricade was like tipping and snatched the posters ... like he risked HIS safety to help me.”

Guess they picked the right man to play a superhero.
