The stars of the new X-men film Dark Phoenix really turned out for the premiere last night. The A-listers shut down the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles for the event and their evening looks did not disappoint.

Jennifer Lawrence wore a long black gown with a deep-v neckline and fashioned her hair in an loose, undone updo. The oscar-winning actress plays Mystique in the film and recently got engaged to Cooke Maroney, who is the gallery director at Gladstone 64 on New York’s Upper East Side.

At the premiere, Lawrence opened up about her new fiance to Entertainment Tonight. “Well, he’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life,” the actress told ET. “It was a very, very easy decision.”

Jessica Chastain turned out with a black cast on her arm from her recent wrist surgery, contrasting it with a white jumpsuit. The one-sleeved number featured a skirt over one leg and was topped off with white platform heels.

Former Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, who plays Jean Grey in the new X-Men film, wore a black and gray striped Louis Vuitton dress on the red carpet and to the after-party, where she posed with co-star Jennifer Lawrence. Turner just married Joe Jonas in Las Vegas following the Billboard Music Awards (were it not for Diplo’s livestream of the union, Turner said she would have liked to keep the wedding a secret.)

“I think at some point I would have had to stop saying ‘fiancé’, but yes, I would have kept it a secret,” Turner told Porter Magazine. “Marriage is a private thing between two people and I think that’s how it should always be. It’s not about the dress, it’s not about the food. It’s about being husband and wife, and being dedicated to each other forever.”
