Diane Von Furstenberg is to design the 2018 Claridge's Christmas tree.

A long time guest and friend of the hotel, the legendary fashion icon will unveil her creation, 'The Tree of Love', at the famous Mayfair hotel on Tuesday, November 27.

Commenting on the collaboration, DVF said: "Claridge’s is my favourite hotel in the world and my home in London. I was so excited to be invited to create its’ legendary annual Christmas Tree. My tree will be ‘The Tree of Love’, celebrating all aspects of love and life."

Claridge's collaborative tradition began in 2009 with John Galliano for Dior. Previous tree designers have since included Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, Kally Ellis of McQueens, Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry's Christopher Bailey.

Last year Karl Lagerfeld unveiled a quirky upside-down affair. An Instagram sensation, the topsy turvy conifer was adorned with silver ribbons, glass baubles and candle ornaments, while metallic shreds of tinsel crowned the branches.

Exact details of the 2018 tree's design are under wraps, but rest assured it's bound to show off Von Furstenberg's bold and glamorous signature style.
