After storming the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway for almost two decades, the time has come for one of the lingerie brand's most well-known faces to step down.

Announcing the news after this week's showcase, Alessandra Ambrosio revealed that Monday's show was her last.

Hanging up her angel wings for good, the 36-year-old supermodel announced her retirement from the iconic Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after 17 years.

"Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have been working for this amazing brand that inspires me and women all over the world," Ambrosio wrote.

"In my wildest dreams I would have never imagined doing 17 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows."

"It gives me great pride to be part the Victoria’s Secret movement! I will always be cheering for you! Love you forever."

Ambrosio made her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut in 2000, and has since become a staple of the lingerie brand.

She has worn the Fantasy Bra twice and walked while pregnant with her second child in 2011.
