Justin Bieber has been a long-time proponent of oversized Yeezys and Nikes, but now he is understood to be putting his own name to a collaboration with Crocs.

The singer teased a release on Instagram over the weekend with an image of orange-coloured Crocs, which he captioned ‘Soon'.

The post amassed just shy of 1.4million likes and sent Crocs' shares soaring by over 11 per cent, with trading peaking at a record-high of $47.81.

Nobody was tagged in the image, but it's understood the collaboration could be with Bieber's apparel brand, Drew, which he and wife Hailey Bieber are regularly seen sporting.

Crocs has garnered an A-list fanbase in recent years, with everybody from Pharrell Williams to Rihanna slipping into the plastic slippers. In 2017, Balenciaga created fluorescent pink and yellow versions of the chunky shoe as part of its spring/summer 2018 collection.

The foam clogs were developed and launched in 2002, but were catapulted into the public consciousness in 2007 when then-President of the United States George Bush was pictured wearing them.
