A different kind of Valentine’s serenading as the VO5 NME Awards kicked off at the O2 Academy in Brixton, where Liam Gallagher was bequeathed the Godlike Genius award and the Best International Band Haim girls ran off to Kadie’s bar to knock back Copper Dog whisky well into the night.

The Hospital Club transported guests into the world of Lulu Guinness, with immersive wall art, optical illusions and romantic graphics galore. The exclusive debut presentation from the British luxury designer dazzled the likes of Pixie Lott, Amelia Windsor and Caroline Rush. As Sadlers Wells dancers gallivanted in 80s punk styling, no head was left unturned by the witty spectacle.
