Where can I get some flattering look-at-me trousers?

I love the idea of jazzy trousers. In my head I’m well over 5ft 8in and have a willowy etherealness, which means I can pull off crazy patterns and exotic fabrics. The reality is I’m pushing 5ft 4in and anything too silky makes me look like I’m wearing pyjamas.

But there are ways to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality: a high sandal works wonders, a neutral oversized jumper gives a relaxed, thrown-on feel, and don’t be afraid of a wide leg. I’m trying these on for size and so far no one has asked if I’ve sleepwalked to work.
