Laura Prepon was our favourite character in Orange is the New Black, Netflix’s brilliant and hilarious prison romp (back soon for a second series). Playing the lead’s lesbian-lover drug mule, she’s the woman every straight woman wants to be a bit bicurious with; the sexy, confident wild child who will ply you with champagne and tell you to try everything once. But now she’s gone! Did she leave the show for — conspiracy theory alert — dark, controlling cult reasons no one quite understands? Why else would she abandon a juicy storyline in such a great show after just one series? For the love of Xenu, we wish Laura would quit Dianetics and auditing and get back in those fetching brown overalls and on to our TV screens. We miss her and her mesmerisingly arched eyebrows. We’d go so far as to say this whole situation makes us feel depressed, but frankly, when you’re dealing with Scientologists, perhaps we shouldn’t.
