Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop wellness summit, In Goop Health, is moving online.

Launching on Wednesday, Goop is launching an online series of talks in place of an upcoming summit the wellness empire was forced to cancel due to Coronavirus.

Over the past few years Paltrow has hosted eight of these weekend-long wellness events in New York City, San Franciso and London which, according to the Goop website, ‘bring together and form a community of seekers who are interested in connecting more deeply with themselves, the people in their lives, and the world around them.

Given that tickets to the summits usually start at £1000 for a day ticket (and go up to £4500 for a weekend ticket that includes extras like a hotel stay) the upcoming series of free Youtube talks, which kick off on Wednesday, offers a great taster for those considering a ticket purchase once the events are back up-and-running.

Every Wednesday, Elise Loehnen, Goop’s chief content officer, will host a one-hour session with an expert in some aspect of the wellness sphere.

Speaking to WWD, Loehnen admits that the physical events are “not at a price point that’s acceptable for a lot of people, and we’re also confined by space…We’ve always wanted information [from In Goop Health] to be available to more people.”

The first talk kicks off on Wednesday 22 (8pm UK time) with intuitive energy healer Dana Childs and then will follow a series of ‘spirituality workshops, workouts, intimate conversations, interactive exercises, and practical, effective takeaway tools for navigating this time.’ Each session will finish with a live audience Q&A.

In return for the free information, Goop simply asks that its ‘Goopies’, as fans of the brand are known, consider making a $20 donation to Doctors Without Borders if they can.
