Just friends?: Joey Essex and Amy Willerton get cosy after exit from I'm A Celebrity jungle

They spent almost three weeks entertaining viewers with their blossoming romance in the jungle and now former campmates Joey Essex and Amy Willerton seem to be making it official.

Lying out on a sun lounger at a luxury resort, the tanned pair looked extremely close as they made the most of their final days in paradise together.

Reality star Essex posted the picture on his Instagram account with the caption "Chilling by the pool. Versace Versace Versace".

He later tweeted a picture of him and model Willerton tucking into a feast of pizza and chips, saying; "Room service on first night".

Essex, 23, had been in an on-off relationship with his The Only Way is Essex co-star Samantha Faires before he entered the I'm A Celebrity jungle - but these latest pictures suggest he may have moved on.

In an interview with The Sun, he said he and beauty queen Willerton, 21, who were booted off the show in a shock double eviction, were "not in a relationship" but were "closer than friends".

He said: "She's a really nice girl and I proper like her - like, really like her.

"There was sexual tension but we couldn't do anything because there isn't any privacy in [the jungle]."

Faires seemed unaffected by her ex-fiance's latest tweets, posting on Twitter shortly afterwards: "Morning... Yay! So excited to be putting up my tree today x x."
