This is the moment a violent New Year’s Eve brawl broke out on a Tube train as revellers shouted “fight, fight” from the platform.
Video footage captures a row breaking out in the doorway of a Northern Line train at Old Street.
The series of short clips, taken by artist Daniel Lismore and posted online on website Vine, show a redheaded girl in a white coat shouting to people on the platform to call the police before she falls into the side of the carriage.
As two groups appear to argue on the packed carriage, swarms of people outside start shouting, jumping and waving their arms in the air.
Some men on the crowded platform and leaning out of carriage doors then start shouting “fight, fight” before clapping and cheering as people inside the carriage seem to be struggling and swearing.
The Tube train only left the platform after the altercation ended when someone was dragged away from the doors, but not before another man with an already bloodied nose is seemingly punched in the face.
A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “Officers from BTP and the Metropolitan Police Service attended the incident.
“Five male French nationals aged between 20 and 26 have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed until Thursday, 6 March pending further inquiries.”
