A flasher whose victim tweeted pictures of him exposing himself on a London train has walked free from court.

Liam Parker, 29, was spotted "touching himself inappropriately" by a woman on a train travelling from London Fenchurch Street to Grays in Essex on June 10.

He was found to have committed similar crimes on trains travelling from Cheshunt to Theobalds Grove on May 30 and Bruce Grove to Liverpool Street on June 24.

CCTV footage showed he also exposed himself at Barking station on June 13.

At Snaresbrook Crown Court last week, he avoided jail despite pleading guilty to a string of indecent exposure charges.

He was handed a nine month suspended prison sentence, ordered to attend a sex offenders’ treatment programme for 100 hours and given a 24-month supervision order.

Parker, of William Morley Close, East Ham, was also ordered to pay his victim £100 in compensation, as well as £800 in court costs.

He pleaded not guilty to a fifth charge of indecent exposure which was allowed to lie on file.

Following the sentencing, Detective Constable Jon Howlett said a police CCTV appeal had prompted more of Parker's victims to come forward with information.

He said: “The women who reported these offences felt threatened by his behaviour and I would like to thank them for having the courage to report what they had seen.

He added: “I hope today’s sentencing sends out a clear message British Transport Police will do everything in its power to eradicate unwanted sexual behaviour on the rail network.”
