A Good Samaritan was left needing hospital treatment after stepping in to help a woman who was sexually assaulted on a Victoria line train.
British Transport Police have today issued CCTV images of three men they want to speak to in connection with the incident as Tube train approached Finsbury Park at about 11pm on Saturday, October 11.
A man, who was allegedly travelling as part of a group, attempted to kiss a woman by grabbing her face before another man intervened.
The Good Samaritan was then injured when the group confronted him and punched him in the jaw before leaving the train at Highbury and Islington.
Detective Constable David Bishop said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim and a cowardly attack on a passenger who had bravely intervened.
“The inappropriate behaviour and assaults on both the woman and the man were simply unacceptable, and I’m confident the men in the CCTV we’ve released have crucial information to help our investigation.
“I’m asking for anyone who can name these men, or has any information that can assist with our enquiries, to get in touch as soon as possible.”
