A murder investigation has been launched after a man was shot dead in Harlesden.

Armed police were called by paramedics to reports of the shooting in Tynsdale Road at 10.45pm last night.

A man in his 20s was found with gunshot injuries in the street and died at the scene.

Scotland Yard said detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

The man has yet to be identified but his next of kin have been informed, police said.

A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

No arrests have been made and enquires continue.
